comment Creating plasmid diagrams in TeX
That looks really impressive with such a small amount of code. I've loaded it up in writeLaTeX if anyone wants to try adding to the example: writelatex.com/227022gsflbv

comment 4 set venn diagram in TikZ
PS: I saved this version of the answer in the writeLaTeX document - it can always be restored by going to the "history" menu in the writeLaTeX editor and restoring the "Answer to TeX SX question" version.

comment WriteLaTeX limited to 30 pages?
We've recently lifted the document limits - see our blog post for more details (get 1GB of space for free!) writelatex.com/blog/6-no-more-document-limits We've also added an FAQ section, which includes reference to the preview length: writelatex.com/help/…

comment Help for one simple diagram about genetic algorithmic
@projetmbc See updated code & final screenshot in the answer - by including the \usetikzlibrary{positioning} package you can specify lengths to the above and below commands. I used above=2cm and below=2cm to achieve the look in the screenshot; you can adjust as desired. Hope this helps!

@projetmbc Thanks for the extra comments - and I see that someone has already made most of the changes you asked for (thanks). To adjust the vertical space between nodes you can pass a length to the above & below commands, such as below=1cm. This should hopefully let you tailor the spacing to your preference.

@PaulGaborit Thanks for the pointer, I'm still learning here so will remember to post the code in future.
