Welcome to TeX.SE! Please add a minimal working example [meta.tex.stackexchange.com/questions/228/… that illustrates your problem. It is not clear which TeX to HTML method you use, please explain, as the default use is DVI or PDF output.

comment How to draw and scale for large data values as a sparklines-like diagram with datatool & TikZ?
Is [this weatherdata sparklines example][1] rather what you want? Otherwise you could just use pgfplots with '\addplot [mark={square*},mark options={mark size=1pt,yscale=4},draw=none] {somefile.txt};' for the marker specification [1]: texample.net/tikz/examples/weather-stations-data

comment TikZ: Defining and reusing complex objects?
@MHaaZ How so?The '\def' ends after the first line. It simply expands to a '\draw...' line, that then is interpreted by TikZ. Using '\def' extensively isn't the best idea, but only for other reasons.

comment Moving thumbnails
@percusse The question is about flip-book animations, not about fancy page numbering. I only used numbers to prove the validity of the counter and because I did not find anything pretty and witty. A TikZ-based animation sure would be nice, but exceeds the range of the question. I did not want to over-complicate the answer though.

comment Testing system in beamer
[Exerquiz][1] seems to be the package you are looking for. It is part of the AcroTeX Bundle as well. [Here are examples][2] of what you can do with it. What is the error you get? [1]: ctan.org/pkg/exerquiz [2]: math.uakron.edu/~dpstory/webeq.html

comment Fancy remark environment
It should be typeset in normalsize, but I added an option to force it, just to be sure.
