comment unable to add page number on newlmf document
I wholeheartedly agree with comments by @Werner. Having spent countless hours on finding layout and spacing options and still not being able to get to them to work in either newlfm or scrlettr2, using article class is the best option.

comment Landscape mode causes a blankpage
The problem is related to the size of the figure. Even if it fits on one page, it might still result in a blank page. I scaled down the figure gradually until the blank page went away. FYI.

There must be some other package that is interfering in my case then. I will investigate.

comment Landscape mode causes a blankpage
I am using this code for a landscape figure. The only change I have made is using pdflscape package which actually rotates the page to landscape mode. However, there is still a blank page before every landscape figure.

This isn't working for me. I still have a blank page before the landscape figure. The code was used exactly as in the example above, except that I am using package 'pdflscape'.

comment Publishing standard for landscape page number position?
Indeed. The thesis office retracted that correction after I pointed out essentially what both the answers above say. Thank you for your input.

comment Page numbers in landscape
@Denis Thank you. I had independently tried approximately the same code, and it had worked. But the thesis office realized that this was non-standard and scrapped that requirement.

comment Publishing standard for landscape page number position?
I am still interested in finding an elegant solution to placing the page number in landscape mode. However, just wanted to point out that our thesis office scrapped this requirement. Apparently, the person who suggested this change wasn't aware of all formatting regulations.

comment Landscape and page numbers with pdfpages
What if I didn't want that. Could I then just use \thispagestyle{mylandscape}?

Thank you for a quick response and the code. What is the function of two.pdf?
