Musician, musicologist (and hobby programmer).

Currently I'm quite busy writing (about) music, using mainly XeLaTeX and LilyPond and trying to integrate them. I'm actively developing two LaTeX packages (which are in pre-release state yet):

  • lilyglyphs - including notational elements from LilyPond in (Xe)LaTeX documents
  • musicexamples - managing music examples (with stressing examples created with LilyPond)

Both are parts of the larger intended project openLilyLib, a collection of resources mainly targeted at LilyPond developers, but also having some LaTeX items in it.

Thanks. This clarifies and improves the question. As mentioned, I'm ready to write an answer.

This is not a duplicate of the referenced question. The specific concerns of the current questions (number of files, relation to the TDS structure/tds.zip) aren't addressed at all in the other question.

Thank you for this solution. It works perfectly, although I don't fully understand it. The math/spacing issue is dealt with fontspec/lilyglyphs in the real files BTW (looks better anyway).

Thank you. I could accept this answer too but take the other because I'm still stuck with "old" latex ;-)

comment Difference in PDF loading in lua- and xelatex
Thanks for the comment. Currently it somehow seems he "simply" has an issue with his installation in general. Otherwise I'll come back to you

comment Issue installing selnolig under MikTeX
FWIW, we could remove selnolig from the manual you're trying to compile (I think it's not good to impose dependencies that aren't really necessary (such as fontspec for example).selnolig isn't essential to the lilyglyphs manual. But if there is something wrong with your installation (and somehow it looks like this) you'll surely want to get it right ;-)

comment Suppress a \smallskip at page/column bottom
OK. I'll try to remember the second solution. But I got my document to work with the first version, and I won't fiddle around with it anymore, now that I've uploaded it to the printer ;-) (Actually this issue popped out at the very last moment before publication. Of course I wanted to manually fix column breaking in my list only after any proof-reading itself was finished so I never noticed the issue before ...
