comment Hyphenate term with numbers and white space within acronyms
But there is no difference in searching and replacing "\acs{IAS} with "\IAS" and searching and replacing "\acs{IAS}" and "\acs{IAS}~" or am I wrong with this statement?

@egreg no just the IAS and IFRS examples I gave. The other acronyms are just followed by letters to create the plural like "\acs{MSKB}s". But I think latex will hyphenate them correctly.

Because I didn't know that this is possible :/. Thanks for the simple and great help :D But I would still have to correct nearly 100 terms. Is there a possibality like or with \hyphanation?

GonzaloMedina: When I test your coding in a new file wihtout anything of mine it works fine. But if I want to implement it in my code it doesn't @cgnieder: Your code works fine now. The problem was that I forgot to remove the "algorithm" package. So this package overwrote your commands. But it works fine now. I will post myworking code. The one of cgnieder and the one of Gonzalo aswell.

GonzaloMedina: If I use your code my list is still empty and has no correct heading (I used \listalgorithm instead of \listofAlgorithmen, because I would get errors with that). @cgnieder: Your code nearly works. The only problem is that the algorithms are not listed and it is in english (even I gave it a german text).

Ah okay I did not change to screprt. But I can't switch to screprt because LaTeX does not find that class and I use a lot of sections subsections and paragraphs. Can we change your solution to the scrartcl class?

Thanks for the fast answer. 1. I tested the algorithms and listings environment but algorithms had "ugly" lines above and below the picture and I thought it would be easer to create a new one instead of renamin listings (I am not allowed to use listings as caption). If I use your code the environment works but the list itselfs looks like in my post. (small headline no entries)

My problem was that I couldn't use \ac to get the long and short form of BA, but the \acresetall helped pretty good. Thank you for your patience!

So you mean that it is marked as used so it will automatically use the short form when I use \ac, right? In the documentation I saw that I should use \acl* before \ac so that \acl doesn't mark it as used and \ac will output it correctly. But that doesn't work. I changed the headlines to \acl*{BA} and then \ac{BA} still uses the shortform. And except in the acronym environment I never use the acronym BA.
