Avoiding “rivers” in successive lines of type @Hendrik Vogt: The comment on general Turing completeness was meant to indicate that the problem is generally solvable, I've written my comment before the OP extended the question to "solutions available now". There are certainly other obstacles, but I've meant to say "you can solve it, and plain TeX would probably do too, not just LuaTeX". |

Avoiding “rivers” in successive lines of type @Will: I'm far from TeXpert and you are probably right on that one -- on second thinking, it's pretty obvious that line-breaking can't actually be done without taking the paragraph into account. Gotta re-read TeXbook again :) |

How do I make pages which were “intentionally left blank”? I guess the downside of this is that if \cleardoublepage changes at upgrade time, evil things could happen. Oh well, this is TeX, I don't expect much in terms of inheritance ;) |
