Removing spaces between “words” in math mode @Joseph, you don't have to use it in your documents. I write documents that look the best I can make them, not ones that follow "the rules". I deliberately left out extraneous explanations and context, but it's a deliberate choice and it looks way better in my context. |

Removing spaces between “words” in math mode @Marc, I want it because it looks better that way IMO. Not sure why anyone would want the letter x... that looks pretty sloppy. |

Efficient ways to anonymize a document disclose clearly that answerer is the package's author, plus wording twiddle to satisfy automated "value" police |

How to write Japanese with LaTeX? Note that this example only works on Ubuntu Quetzal if you install the package latex-cjk-japanese-wadalab (via blog.mindfall.net/?p=221). |

Set up a system to alternate between genders per paragraph FWIW, I'd find that style horribly confusing. It's bad enough in baby books that do something like this. If you want to be fair, roll a die at the beginning of the document and then be consistent. You must have at least one die around, right? :) |

How to configure Latex to open the last page in PDF reader? Many PDF readers can refresh the document if it changes: e.g., evince on Linux and Skim as well as Preview (?) for the Mac. Then you could "go" to the exact page you were working on, not just the last page. |

What are the pros and cons of using hard wrapping, and why is it so common with LaTeX? The "break after 80 chars" leads to more readable lines as well. I think you'd be hard-pressed to effectively edit text that was 30 inches wide. :) |
