Thanks! I actually use Emacs on OSX (the same binary you pointed to), and have AUCTeX installed. How do you get that preview buffer in Emacs ?

comment How to preview LaTeX in Emacs?
This is great. However, in OSX, Preview (the program) does not update / refresh the PDF unless you have it active. I wonder if anyone came with a solution to it!

FYI: It looks like the development of ktikz stopped three years ago (although the source code is available, so hopefully someone picks it up, e.g. on GitHub)
