I try to use LaTeX for all kind of documents - and thus I love this group here! Further I just learned how fine one can compile PSTRICKS-Documents with xelatex to get PDF-Files.

Hi @UlrikeFischer, thank you for the idea. I did - without success. I'll post a screenshot in the question - showing an initex-error after switching to the uni-erlangen-repo.

And now - sorry - I can not edit the last comment: Those MikTeX-Files "C:\Program Files (x86)\MiKTeX 2.9\tex\latex\booktabs-de\booktabs-de.sty" and "C:\Program Files (x86)\MiKTeX 2.9\tex\latex\booktabs\booktabs.sty" are equal - only different within namings...

UUUuuuuuuuuuuups, norbert - are you sure? Running MikTeX on windows results in ("C:\Program Files (x86)\MiKTeX 2.9\tex\latex\booktabs-de\booktabs-de.sty" Package: booktabs-de 2005/04/14 v1.61803 publication quality tables thus there is a booktabs-de.sty-file.

Hi, thanks for your example. But - is polyglossia buggy? I startedt using XeLaTeX about 18 months ago and red somewhere, that like babel in LaTeX, polyglossia !SHOULD! be used in XeLaTeX. What is the truth? Thanks.
