comment Tooltip with glossary items
No, this can not work. Both, the link and the tooltip are so called PDF annotations. These define a rectangle and an action, which will be performed after a click or a mouse-over on the defined area. In the same area one annotaion overlays the other. Links seem to have priority.

comment How to overlay a call-out box on text?
@ShalabhJain Then you can maybe tinker something with Tikz's callout library! See: tex.stackexchange.com/questions/146225/… or tex.stackexchange.com/questions/131012/notes-on-sentences/…

@ShalabhJain For constant overlay you can use FreeText annotations (type=callout). See: mirrors.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/pdfcomment/doc/… OTOH, these annotaions must be placed by hand on the page and are therefore not very handy!

comment Practical use of Lua
Why not? ;-) -shell-escape is the important part! If you want to use lua in your document, then it works only with lualatex. OTOH, getmap calls an external lua script, which means the script is executed with texlua. That's the lua interpreter of luatex. This works for all engines including pdflatex. But it needs the -shell-escape switch to allow the execution of external scripts.

You could install the font in a TDS-complaiant way in your git repository. Then all team members have to declare this directory as new local TeX tree, run texhash and include the map file. OTOH, using an OTF font is easier!

comment How can a package be listed on CTAN but not be available in Tex Live?
@norbert It seems i misinterpreted pakietomat.wordpress.com/2014/05/27/getmap. It states - after the translation ;-) - to install TL2014 to use getmap. At that time there was only TL2014 pretest available.

@Jubobs I think you just have to wait a little bit. The freeze of TL2013 was April 17th. My getmap package (uploaded in May) is at the moment also not available in TL2014. Although, I've read in a blog post that is was part of TL 2014 pretest. Maybe they just forgot to copy these packages or they simply need another day for it. I don't know if they have to recreate the packages for TL2014.

@alanross If it worked for all your books, why the hell you don't just use what worked so far? Are you just spammimg? Two out of three 5-star reviews of your Kakuro book seem to be written by yourself. Okay, i got the message! Score adjusted EOT
