comment Which primitives does ConTeXt rename/move?
@JosephWright: There are unofficial public git repos of the ConTeXt betas at repo.or.cz/w/context.git/shortlog/refs/heads/origin and gitorious.org/context. Running git blame on math-fen.mkiv shows that these primitives were overridden on 2013.10.20 commit: repo.or.cz/w/context.git/commit/…

comment fold/unfold sections to expand in PDF
@ChristianHupfer: I realize that the linked PDF does not show folding. I remember that Amrita's website had an example that showed "folding" of a PDF document, but I cannot locate that PDF. Still I'll leave the previous link here.

Not connected to Latex, but a proof of concept that shows dynamic views are possible in PDF. Thus, in principle one should be able to reproduce the result in TeX.

Have a look at Amrita-Ebook software to see what is possible with interactive PDFs: amrita-cfd.org/cgi-bin/doc/drink-me/TOA-drink-me.pdf

That is complete ConTeXt code. See tex.stackexchange.com/q/4987/323 and contextgarden.net

comment Which primitives does ConTeXt rename/move?
@JosephWright: In ConTeXt terms, TL2013 is stone-age. I think that this change was done around Feb 2014 or so (but I am not 100% certain). On my old 2014.03.28 version, I get *\show\left > \left=\protected macro: ->\afterassignment \math_left \let \nexttoken.

ConTeXt MkIV also moves \left and \right to \normalleft and \normalright

comment produce slides and handouts from the command line
FWIW, in ConTeXt conditional processing is handled using modes, and context has a command line option to enable or disable modes.

comment How to avoid transliteration of Russian text in ConTeXt?
This works correctly with a recent context minimals ConTeXt MkIV 2014.03.28. I don't have access to TL2013, so cannot check why the test file fails there.

Are you using MkII or MkIV? What version of ConTeXt are using.

@mbork: I'll try to add a detailed answer. If only a day had more than 24 hours.
