comment How to enable the page number counter but don't display it in the titlepage in ConTeXt?
You can change both behavior (not create a new page or not vertically center the content).

comment How to embed videos in pdf with ConTeXt?
Sorry for the delay. I'll write a wrapper for this soon.

comment ConTeXt only finds one font style in .ttc file
@Ben: it may be a good idea to check context stanalone. I have always had a had time with context on texlive (which mactex is based on)

comment Redefining the emdash so as to allow hyphenation
@Gaussler: I am sure that it should be possible to port the ConTeXt code to LaTeX. But I am not familiar with LaTeX internals. It may be better to ask that as a separate question to get the attention of LaTeX experts.

comment context fails due to no return code
It is a separate context installation that can be installed in parallel with texlive. The install size is around 200MB. See the context wiki for details.

Note that you are using a very old version (more than two years old) of ConTeXt. You can try to upgrade to ConTeXt Minimals.

It is hard to diagnose without the complete tex file. I clone the repo and ran make which compiles the document correctly.

comment Why does fontspec interfere with Ligatures? (In retrospect: How the dutch hyphenate)
@egreg: I agree that it would be nice if the context manuals were included in Texlive. For a history of why it is not included, read this old thread on the tex-live mailing list. On the other hand, the links to the manuals are available on the context wiki.

comment Why does fontspec interfere with Ligatures? (In retrospect: How the dutch hyphenate)
@egreg: "I'd tell you to look in the manual, if one existed". That comment is a bit underhanded. In any case, this behavior is documented in Section 10.8 of the ConTeXt manual.

In ConTeXt MkIV, it is not required to use || to get hyphenation of compound words. Instead, you can simply use \setbreakpoints[compound] and compound-words-will-be-hyphenated.

comment ConTeXt: How to style interactive elements individually rather than globally
Don't worry. ConTeXt has a very consistent user interface. It takes some time to get used to, but once it clicks, you'll just be able to guess the solutions.

comment Putting “continued…” at the bottom of the page and on the top of the next page in ConTeXt
@dreamlax: Put the "...continued" in the header as well :-)

@Metafox: That should work with layers as well, so you can position the text anywhere on the page.
