comment Using ConTeXt \bTABLEbody and \eTABLEbody within macros
Can you create a MWE? The standard way to do something like this is to use setups. \startsetup chemicaltable %... other stuff here \stopsetup and then \bTABLE[setups={chemicaltable}] ... \eTABLE

comment ConTeXt: Change emphasis font when used within blockquote environment
Can this method be used to change to a font other than mono (e.g., if we want italic from a different fontface)?

comment ConTeXt: Change emphasis font when used within blockquote environment
Thomas, as per @DaveJarvis's comment, I changed your answer so that it uses blockquote rather than a new environment myblock. Hope you don't mind.

comment ConTeXt: Change emphasis font when used within blockquote environment
Just to be sure, if the block quote contains some italic text {\it ...} and some emphasized text {\em ...}, you want the emphasized text to come out differently from the italic text. Is it okay to use a macro \emph{...} instead of a font switch {\em ...}?

comment ConTeXt: Change emphasis font when used within blockquote environment
In your last example you mention that you also want the "block quote regular font" to change from Times New Roman to Liberation Serif. That would imply changing the entire blockquote style

You can define two typefaces (or two font families) and add \setupdelimitedtext[blockquote][style={\switchtobodyfont[other]}].

comment Tabulate problem with \VL
Works here with ConTeXt MkIV 2015.10.09. However, if you are starting from scratch, I would suggest that you use the Natural Table environment rather than tabulate.

comment Size of spaces left before and after title chapters in ConTeXt
The \setuphead command does not take spacebefore and spaceafter keys. You have to set these space using before={\blank[force,1cm]}, after={\blank[3cm]}, etc.

comment ConTeXt: change distance between inmargin bullets and text in bulleted list
@Manuel: The idea is that inmargin places the bullet in the ... well ... the margin. If you just want a negative left kern, you can use \startitemize[margin=-2em, width=2em], etc. See my updated answer
