comment TikZ: Symmetric matrix without upper diagonal elements
@MYaseen208 Yes because standalone uses a different boxing then the normal documents. You can revert back to your original in case you need external image.

comment pgfplots: Tilted and Rotated sphere
This is probably one of the right places to use compat=newest then it will use whatever the last version is installed on the server. You also need to take out scale uniformly strategy=units only, line to make it work on writelatex

comment Font size for TikZ picture datavisualization
Not necessary this looks like a bug from an initial guess.

comment Font size for TikZ picture datavisualization
I can't replicate this with the latest CVS version of TikZ (as I suppose you have it too) Add \Huge A before the picture... Scratch that now I see it

As if it is not enough that David Carlisle steals our well-deserved TikZ points with picture mode .... :P

comment Fixed Point Arithmetic: Why does the fp work sometimes but others it errors?
A ticket is opened at sourceforge.net/p/pgf/bugs/255 for this in the PGF Bug Tracker

comment Fixed Point Arithmetic: Why does the fp work sometimes but others it errors?
@Qrrbrbirlbel I think the problem comes from the fact that TikZ handles trigonometry very badly (often look up table) so to increase the precision switches to counter. It's not a problem for pgfmath because it checks wgether the argument is a counter or not but apparently forgot to switch back to length when calling fp. Oh and the answer to your question I really don't know.

comment pgfplots: Tilted and Rotated sphere
Multiply the x component by 3 and y,z components by 0.5. Then use view={55}{-100}. Is that close?

comment How to remove ticks from the top and right axes of a plot generated with PGFPlots?
Search also the manual with axis lines.

comment Section numbering changes in TOC, but not in body - specific to IEEEtran
An IEEE journal paper is not supposed to have a ToC. So it's protecting its headings but not caring about the ToC.

comment When to use a regular .initial key or a .store in key?
Nice read! Though I have to confess I was expecting a yet-another trace-pgfkeys wizardry :) One minor addition might be that \pgfkeyslet{<key>}{<macro name>} is already present.

comment One verbatim column in pgfplotstable and a non-verbatim header
@Christian Thank you for your kind words. However I only have a thorough understanding of the manual :-) These verbatim handling issues are at border or beyond my understanding too.
