comment Shutting down the pc while the program being executed!
@Mamal I've been using TeXnicCenter 2 beta but others are also very satisfied with other editors so I think now it is safe to recommend all editors depending on your personal taste. Thaqt includes WinEdt if you don't mind popups once in a while. I've bought it for historical reasons(since I've wrote my MSc thesis with it) but use TC daily.

comment Adjusting the width of a block to cross a column border
It definitely does not fit together but anyway I can't convince you for your presentation.

If all of that is necessary, I would spend 5 slides for this.

comment Given a PS interpreter, can pstricks be converted to pgf?
@queueoverflow There is a bigger project is going on behind the scenes. Bruno is an active member of the LaTeX3 team and they are considering the inclusion of Postscript interpreter in. So it's kind of a big deal but not related to the usage of the graphics packages.

comment Tikz: Emphasizing part of a drawn path
If I remember correctly \pgfprecomputedarc is better for precision but that was some time ago.

comment A collection of LaTeX equations?
@barbarabeeton Fully agree. Actually, I don't touch such automated code at all. However, if there is a complicated matrix or an array it's handy to copy paste the content and leave the syntax out.

comment Increment/Decrement variables in TikZ
I said it because you can use the ++(..) and +(..) operators and the whole calc for all kinds of relative and incremental computations

comment what's the difference between Boundingbox and hiresBoundingbox?
After every use of a bounding box, it is sent to Adobe for recycling. When needed you hire a new one

comment Shutting down the pc while the program being executed!
Unfortunately this happened to me with LEd and I don't think there is a fix for that. I would recommend not using LEd as an editor since the last bug fix is from 2009 (though it was a very nice one back then) and I've lost my documents more than twice with it.

I think you are doing something inefficient. If you include your use case then it will be much easier to show how to use relative coordinates.

Please include the version you don't like so users here can make it better. Otherwise starting from scratch is really not fun.

comment Another issue with university's class file and tikz package (relates to Queen's University and McMaster University, maybe more)
Welcome to the site. If your code is too long you paste it on writelatex.com and put link here so that we don't need to download a zip file which is not so nice due to you-know-why.

comment Tikz: Drawing a line from a focus to the edge of an ellipse
@dustin \path two circles from F with 1 and 1.54 radius and use intersections with the ellipse. It's the straightforward examples from the manual. If your computation is right the angle should come out correct.
