Dang, I completely forgot it. I'l look into it. One thing though you don't have log for negative numbers so are you always parametrizing at the positive side?

comment Drawing two angles, with arrowheads, and labeling edges of a triangle
There is one backslash/forward slash mismatch. Can it be the problem? Also your MikTeX is way too old. Upgrade to 2.9 if possible. Plus install it somewhere else and remove the empty \usepackage{} line.

comment Tikz: How to Align the Text of simple Nodes?
There is no align=bottom. Instead add every node/.append style={text height=2ex,text depth=0.5ex} to the picture options.

comment tikz foreach loops: is there an equivalent of metapost's step?
Put \pgfkeys{/pgf/foreach/custom step/.code={your first line here doing the computation}} and then use it with \foreach \i[custom step] in {\pgfstuff,\myfirststep,...,\pgfmorestuff}{...} that's what I meant.

Nice. I would further make 10 and 13 sub-,superscript, or any other visual marker to distinguish from the following numbers.

comment tikz foreach loops: is there an equivalent of metapost's step?
You can embed your customization into a style and use it repeatedly, would that be elegant enough? :P

comment Tikz code not working in LyX but working in pure Tex
The error usually pops up when a closing bracket of the options or the brace of some style is missing.
