comment Character strings in biblatex's PART and VOLUME fields
@Guido You might replace \addspace with ~ in order to avoid that the number of the volume gets on a new line (as it was the problem in tex.stackexchange.com/questions/248036/…).

comment How can I replicate this page using LaTeX?
Welcome to TeX.SX! On this site, a question should typically revolve around an abstract issue (e.g. "How do I get a double horizontal line in a table?") rather than a concrete application (e.g. "How do I make this table?"). Questions that look like "Please do this complicated thing for me" tend to get closed because they are either "off topic", "too broad", or "unclear". Please try to make your question clear and simple by giving a minimal working example (MWE): you'll stand a greater chance of getting help.

comment Problem with sorting bibliography alphabetically
I never used the natbib package with the plainnat style but I guess that the entries are sorted alphabetically by default. It would be easier to help you if you gave us a working example. Which commands did you use to compile your document?
