comment Draw a trapeze in left corner of the page
I was so hoping this was asking for a flip-book animation of a trapeze act in the page corner..... :-)

comment How can I achieve dictionary headers for two page spreads in LaTeX
My project was built on Windows with LuaLaTeX as distributed in MiKTeX, but nothing I did was Windows specific on purpose. Of course, I haven't attempted to use it on any other platform, or really even for any other project.

@cfr I haven't published it, but I don't think there is any reason why I can't do that. It will be a few days before I have a chance to dig through the project and make sure I didn't leak any proprietary information accidentally. I'll update the answer with a link "soon".

comment “Track changes” in LaTeX
That looks really useful. Now I just need to script it into my document build process, which has the added complexity that most of my project's documentation is actually written in Markdown and translated to LaTeX by pandoc. So the script would have to retrieve a past revision, translate it to LaTeX, translate the present revision to LaTeX, then run latexdiff. While it will be fussy to do, it is probably easier than using a diff of the Markdown source text to drive markup of the generated LaTeX.

+1 for Tufte. I'd add all the rest of his books, but the first is clearly the most important.

comment Using fontspec with LuaLaTeX produces a LaTeX bug message
Letting MiKTeX's updater have its way with my install updated about 30 packages including fontspec. I can now compile without errors.

comment xelatex compilation error
This resolved my similar problem with LuaLaTeX and fontspec. I did have to run the updater in admin mode to get the updater itself to work. It updated a bunch of packages, including fontspec.

@Joseph, from the description and answers there, I'd say you are right. My only excuse is that I focused on LuaLaTex and ignored XeTex when searching for the problem before posting.
