comment Which TeX procedure removes trailing tabs?
@BrunoLeFloch From looking at the web2c sources, it looks like get is just implemented with getc (from C's standard library), which doesn't eat tabs.

comment Which TeX procedure removes trailing tabs?
I have been looking through the sources and I cannot see where tabs get eaten! Is it possible the implementation of get in Web2c has some tab-eating behavior? Otherwise, I think you should send in a bug report :)

comment How do I use TrueType Fonts with PDFTeX using otftotfm?
This guide is excellent! Two comments. 1) Under TeXLive 2011 (on Windows), I had to set the TEXMFVAR environment variable to c:\texlive\texmf-local so otftotfm would install my font in my 'local' TEXMF directory. By default otftotfm installed the font in $HOME/.texmf, but my installation of pdflatex could not find it. 2) I put the .fd file in the current directory (next to my document) and everything worked. However, I am not sure how to make the font available to multiple documents. Maybe you could add that detail, instead of making me search fntguide?

comment Best practice on organising your preamble
(responding to the first comment) - maybe your shell treats `` as special and you need to escape it?

comment Using the booklet package and the geometry package together
That's almost what I want, but does it layout pages so they can be folded like a booklet?

comment Using the booklet package and the geometry package together
@Ignasi In response to your first question - the original document is in portrait orientation. I would like to produce a document in landscape orientation, with two portrait pages per sheet.

I have a more complicated document with specific margins that I need geometry for.
