comment ConTeXt: Using system-installed TrueType/OpenType fonts
I think the order of examples should be different. Simplefonts solution should be given in the first place. There is hardly any need for typescripts anymore unless you need a very unusual setup.

comment Limitations of ConTeXt?
@percusse No, I don't. I agree LaTeX can still be successfully used for many tasks. If you know how to do something in LaTeX keep on using it. If you don't know how to do something in LaTeX try to look for solutions in LaTeX and ConTeXt. That's all. After all it's all TeX ;)

comment Limitations of ConTeXt?
I don't think such questions should be put on hold, as they are crucial to new users, even if too broad. If you don't know LaTeX yet, just forget it (unless you publish in journals which ask for LaTeX). There is very little of what can be done in LaTeX that cannot be done in ConTeXt (if at all). You will escape the package hell which may drive you mad. If you know LaTeX you will want to use both. Some specific solutions in LaTeX may be time consuming to implement in ConTeXt (e.g some bibliography styles). Although I used to use both for quite long time, now have switched to ConTeXt completely.

@Yan Zhou Sorry for misunderstanding. It's clear to me now.

@Yan Zhou Of course ConTeXt does not support any LaTeX packages, but usually provides the same functionality (and maybe more, I don't know). If you miss anything in ConTeXt you should simply ask. Chances are it can be implemented with what is already there.

comment Reasons to use plain TeX
This is not a valid, or at least not entirely valid reason against using ConTeXt. Using ConTeXt Suite it is very easy to bundle the whole ConTeXt environment that was used for a specific project and use it for later for any future changes.

comment Which TeX should one start out with?
When you talk about scarcity of ConTeXt documentation you probably refer to the lack of books about ConTeXt you can buy in a bookshop. But the documentation available online is abundant and definitely sufficient for even very complicated typesetting jobs. Not to mention excellent support on ConTeXt discussion list and devoted community of users who are there to help you.
