I see there is a vote to delete. Is there a problem with the answer?

@Crissov I see what you mean. The problem is I often revise my slides just before the talk.

My specific problem now is lecture slides which need to work on a different machine than I use to create them. I can use article format, if Beamer has trouble with graphics (I don't know about that). But if i have to send each graphic as a separate file that is a nuisance. I might have to use MSWord instead.

comment Biblatex: submitting to a journal
Publishers, and their authors, regard LaTeX and related software as tools to use, rather than as programming projects. They will use what works best for them. Until biblatex has documentation suitable for ordinary authors and in-house typesetters, journals will not use it.

Ah, thanks. Bad news. Not so bad for me since I have yet to master biblatex anyway. But I'm sure in the long run biblatex will get ahead of bibtex in publishing.

@moewe Thanks. This is the third time I've spent more than a few hours working on Biblatex and I'm sure I will get it to work some day. But for now (with 72 hours to get a book review to a journal) I'll go back to the familiar frustrations of BibTeX.
