Useful notes for some of my answers:

CTAN lion drawing by Duane Bibby.

minimal working example](http://www.minimalbeispiel.de/mini-en.html)

The demo option for graphicx simply replaces actual figures with black rectangles; do not use that option in your actual document.

comment When substack and array doesn't work
@elwc Since I've used this approach so many times in answers, I tend now to forget to add some explanation. Let me correct that: the idea is to put some marks using \tikzmark and then, in this case, to use this marks to place the desired material at the desired location using as reference points the marks.

For an inspiration, you can see Exercise 11.5 in Chapter 11 Boxes (page 67) of the TeXbook and its solution in Appendix A, pages 310-311. There, Knuth defines a \demobox command.

comment centering the a paragraph of text in a paper
@Montadar as you can see from the image attached, my code doesn't produce any rules under the header, so there must be some code in your document responsible for the line. You can try using \thispagestyle{empty} right after the first \clearpage command (or with plain instead of empty). If this doesn't solve the problem, compose aa simple, complete document allowing us to reproduce the problem and add it to your question as an edit.
