Thanks, you should make this into an answer. It is indeed true, that paths are different and reflect the architecture type.

Well, great! I just found out that it's 64bit. It seems ProTeXT in all it's wisdom installs 64bit version of MiKTeX!!! That's the last time I'm using that

comment Produce a “margin” note and align rows of columns in beamer
Thanks Adam. Looks great, but doesn't it feel a bit dirty setting the spacing manually? Or is this normal practice? (I'm no latex expert... my knowledge of css is better haha.)

E.g. the word "science... should align with frame title.

Oh, no just flush left with the slide. The title should be aligned with the content (in this case, left column -- just like in my example). Thank you! This looks already much better.

I.e. they should not be part of the main content, but rather be sidenotes, for the convinience of the reader. They are not there for sectioning (if that makes any sense).

Well, I would like that chapter indicators to be on the margin simply for reference to the reader, not for sectioning of the slides. It's more like a "note". Hence in my presentation they are on the left margin, and not in line with the title of the slide (which is also the section title in this case....)

Is it possible to make the chapter indicators flush left (like in my example?)
