The tikzpicture environment (and by extension tikzcd) is, for some strange reason, typeset inline. I always enclose it in \[ ... \] to make sure it is displayed like other bits of maths.

It's perhaps worth mentioning that the last three characters in \thmt@original@endthm should also be replaced with the environment name, to prevent problems with “too much nesting”...
