does not seem to work for package hyperref warnings (specifically those that say that the caption string is simplified for the pdf toc).

comment eqnarray vs align
i consider the first point to be an advantage of eqnarray. how can i simulate this behavior with align? i need it whenever i have operators of different width, e.g. = vs ==. i want = to be centered below ==, not left aligned to it.

comment Phantom width of binary operator
they may work the same in \phantom, but they dont at the beginning of a line. if i start a line with a logical and, it will attach to the next variable like a unary operator, \mathbin doesnt fix this, {} does.
