comment Paragraph above scrolling enumerate in beamer keeping position
Are you sure it produces the effect? I haven't tried yet, but from reading the code I wonder what happens when the items are not necessarily one line and have different heights.

comment How to draw this image using tikz?
Cool. Didn't know you can do arithmetic with the names of the nodes. That will shorten the code in another diagram I am making.

@cfr No idea what is MWE. Market Energy Partners?

@cfr See the edit. Those questions were only my guesses. If they don't exist the answer doesn't need to add them.

Oh, the link is interesting.

comment Align and sub-indexes.
I intended to mean by robust something that is not a tweak like this. But seen this solution made me think that there is no way for latex to know the extra space is coming from a sub-index or not. I should have though the question better.

comment Vertical math next to vertical arrow in Tikz
@percusse As usual, you don't know what you are saying.

comment Command for the table Ruffini-Horner algorithm
Can I be picky? It gets an error for constant polynomials.

comment Command for the table Ruffini-Horner algorithm
The package itself gives error 'no room for new \dimen .' even for the examples in the package manual.

comment Pgf plot square not positive
That was the problem. Maybe some changes from MikTex 2.8 to 2.9 made that happen. Before I was not having that problem. I tried the brackets but forgot about the braces thing. Thanks.

I should read the things I write.

comment Numbers outside Math environment
Yes, counters on their own have nothing to do but I was asking when LaTeX automatically uses them for numbering pages or sections. How does it treat them? For example if it uses the counters as text I don't want to be putting all numbers in math mode because then a number I am using for counting may look different from those numbering the sections or the pages.

Thank you. I know there is a way but always forget how is it.

How is it you find the page where the Underfull warning came from?

comment A letter in the same space as another
Very good. Question: Shouldn't the command be used as \mathmakeboxlargestof{y}{\alert{z}}{y} and \mathmakeboxlargestof{y}{\alert{z}}{\alert{z}} respectively? Just in case the alert is making some space.

comment Package for changing font with each letter?
For effect, in a poster. Not for a whole long text, that's for sure. It would be painful to read a whole page written like that.

comment \frac{1-z^{n+1}}{1-z} doesn't look very good and how to leave space equal to the size of a given text
Very good answer. One question, why is it that you have to apply phantom to the whole thing and then have to overlap instead of phantom only the exponent?

comment \frac{1-z^{n+1}}{1-z} doesn't look very good and how to leave space equal to the size of a given text
@Caramir: As I said, typesetting is content dependent. The goal is to convey meaning without distraction. \frac{1}{1-z} is just perfect. But the nature of what we are writing now is different from the formula for the geometric progression.

comment \frac{1-z^{n+1}}{1-z} doesn't look very good and how to leave space equal to the size of a given text
Oh my! Now I understand. I never put in the question that what I'm writing is many sums of geometric progressions. My bad.
