Well cfr, the answer is 4 years old, so your mileage may vary and feel free to provide a better answer. Most of your comment does not provide any useful information for anybody.

comment Why should I use \usepackage[T1]{fontenc}?
@Jukka: I am not sure why you would still use the ae package.

comment LaTeX Editors/IDEs
@Michael: I disagree. On the contrary, even if you have Eclipse already it makes sense to create a separate install for TeXlipse because TeXlipse does not play well with other plugins.

comment How to set the font for a \section title (and chapter etc)
Is there a way to just adjust the color/font and keeping all the style information from the existing document class?

comment Is there an easy way to have my whole document with a space between paragraphs rather than indentation?
This already fails when using a simple \begin{itemize}. The package Parskip is the way to go.

The bigger problem is that without T1 you cannot copy/paste a name with a non-ascii glyph without getting them split up into their components.

comment Workflow for reviewing PDFs generated from TeX?
Thanks great answer! It describes everything really well. I still gave Marcus the checkmark, his answer which contributes the important idea of PDFSync is otherwise to far at the bottom.

! Thanks this is the missing round trip that I have been looking for. You should also mention in your answer that you need a PDFSync enabled viewer, which I currently do not have. Great new answer anyway!

@Juan: Does Emacs qualify? ;-) And can I load an annotated PDF into that PDF preview in any IDE you know?

comment Workflow for reviewing PDFs generated from TeX?
@Charles: Can you elaborate on the idea with the tagged PDFs? Could it be possible to export the annotations from a tagged PDF and then use this to make changes to my original LaTeX sources?

Yes, considered it. Detex unfortunately gets confused with many of my macros and reintegrating the changes back into LaTeX is not any easier.
