position background image with \SetBgAnchor I was thinking that background/TikZ perhaps pre-defines a rectangle for the "text area" of the page I could refer to (text area.south west). It probably does not, that is fine as well. Thanks. |

Advantage of LaTeX presentations? @StefanKottwitz: regarding animations, it would be fair to mention that movies do not run embedded on Linux, only those which open a player outside when they are clicked on. I know it is not a limitation of the packages but rather of support from viewers, but the situation does not seem like changing quickly here. |

Image quality using PDFLaTeX As commented above by Jake, pdf, jpg and png images are simply embedded in the output pdf file, pdfTeX does not alter them. |
