Well, yes, \framebox[0.1\linewidth]{\strut} & \rlap{$ {} = \framebox[0.7\linewidth]{\strut} $}` proved to be the better solution. Thanks for the hint! Before \begin{multlined} a \! is necessary to counter an intern \, in multlined.
