comment Symbols do not copy correctly from latex pdf to ms word
@vmk LaTeX and Word use different fonts (postscript vs. TrueType). Therefore you will get different results as long as you don't use a font that is installed on your system in both formats.

comment Assigning multiple values to a subsection?
Thanks for the solution. Unfortunately something like the \ratedsection command is not usable in my case as don't want to replace the standard \section and label command. This is because of LaTex editor does recognize them and shows the document outline e.g. for navigation which is really helpful in long documents.

The zref package sounds perfect. However I want to stick with the standard command \labelas my LaTeX editor recognizes them. Would it cause any problems to just renew the \label command instead of creating a new \productlabel?

The \rating command should just set the rating attribute of the currents section. It should not produce anything visible in the document.

@egreg The map entry was present but what missed was executing initexmf --mkmaps. Thanks for the help.

@egreg I have already updated the FNDB - unfortunately it does not affect this problem.

comment How to obfuscate my LaTeX document?
@Mark: My question is not about generating a document without content it is about converting an existing document, preserving all used LaTeX featured but not the text content.

That would be useful if I would know what combination of features is causing the bug. My document has more than 100 pages containing dozens of figures, tables, itemize environments, referencres, citations... If I change to much on the structure the bug is gone.

@egreg: Is there a way to make this environment work with all types of characters (tabs, curly brackets, underscores, ...)?
