comment xfrac + siunitx gives me a font warning
@Mico: I've put up more information and an example. It seems to be directly related to siunitx, rather than mathpazo or amsmath.

So \v{f} counts as one token? Or is it just that when \v is expanded to yield #1 it eats the {f} argument?

I'm sure I just don't understand how expansion works yet, but when I see _\v{f}, I would think that expands to _{...contents of \v...}{f}. When/how does the {f} argument replace the #1 inside of \v?

Why does _\v{f} work as a subscript instead of being interpreted as _{\v}{f}?

Also, what's the point of the minipage? It seems to work without it.

Thanks! Is there a way to make it automatically adjust the width to fit its contents?

comment Is it safe to temporarily redefine \and, \or, and \not?
I also want to be able to read the source in the future, after not having look at it for a while.
