A Canadian geek, finishing off a chemistry degree. I typically hang around TeX.SX as I like the community and learn things by reading the questions. I'm also active on RPG.SX and History.SX.

What is the most bizarre thing you have seen done with TeX Does it support Commodore Basic? My Dad could run the program he typed up on the C64 to play Star Fleet battles on it! |

Set up a system to alternate between genders per paragraph Cool, those both work well. I realized that typically it swaps each ability, and since most abilities are only one paragraph long then it works as if it was every paragraph. I like the automated solution, though. Between these two I should have everything needed to write an RPG without the community rending me a new one. |

Set up a system to alternate between genders per paragraph Passive voice is an option, but most people tear into you if you use it outside of scholarly papers. |

achemso articletitle=true option not working Welcome to TeX.sx! Please add a minimal working example (MWE) that illustrates your problem. It will be much easier for us to reproduce your situation and find out what the issue is when we see compatible code, starting with \documentclass{...} and ending with \end{document}. |

Set up a system to alternate between genders per paragraph @Brent.Longborough There has been a fair bit of research on bias in textbooks and such influencing students behaviour. |

Set up a system to alternate between genders per paragraph @texenthusiast My needs are a bit simpler, as examples in the type of document I'm looking at writing typically only have one gendered character who's gender is not kept constant. Other people are referred to thing such as "The target" to avoid confusion. |

Set up a system to alternate between genders per paragraph @texenthusiast Damn, and today I learn there is no problem so obscure that I don't have to check for an existing question. That is quite close, but it alternates per use, when I want per-paragraph. |

What is the correct way of writing a percentage next to \oldstylenums? Didn't old books put the % in a superscript? Similar to how they did decimals? |
