I'm a Post-Doctoral Fellow in atmospheric remote sensing at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I first came to Stack Exchange for practical reasons: Tex.SE has been of major help when I wrote my licentiate (midterm) thesis. Since then, I have discovered the joy of many websites. As my network profile will show, I'm interested in travel, outdoor, scientific skepticism, and as I work in academia, also in academia and LaTeX.

@MomoTh You should try to figure out exactly what the problem is and then post it as a new question.

comment How do I get numbered entries in a beamer bibliography
When using biblatex+biber, karlkoellers answer results in all items labelled [0], but @GonzaloMedina's answer works correctly.

There is also <n>; used, for example, in beamer.

I attempted a similar technique when forced to deliver a Microsoft Word®-document, but I did not succeed.

Immediately voting to close my own question as a duplicate — only after writing the full question did Stack Exchange suggest a similar question containing the answer, but this 'path' may still be useful for future answer-seekers.

comment Should one cite a LaTeX package in a scientific publication?
@Fran I disagree. Why must R be cited for reproducibility? Taking the same code with the same parameters and the same bugs is not properly reproducing. Describe the mathematics, and whether the maths is implemented in R, Matlab, Python, or your grandfathers abacus, is an irrelevant or potentially dangerous detail. I will acknowledge my tools, but in the acknowledgements, not in the methodology. We used function x in package y is not a scientific way to describe a methodology. But this discussion is off-topic on TeX - LaTeX and belongs on Academia.
