I'm a discrete mathematician. My main research interests are discrete optimization and scheduling in specific. I've been using LaTeX on and off since 2007, mostly for homework assignments. I have really gotten into it while writing my thesis though. Scheduling problems call for quite a lot of diagrams, so my main focus and interest within LaTeX is TikZ.

It does require some escaping on the command line, since you are trying to replace quotes. I can't put it in here, since it contains backticks. So a link will have to do.

For it to be the minimum it should indeed be `(0,1.7)`. @stygianguest I like Altermundus's answer better, you should see mine more like an example of how to use the `name path` and `name intersection` constructs.

Apr 2	comment	How can I execute a macro for every node in TikZ? This will probably be problematic, since TikZ works with relative coordinates inside. It then applies a transformation to get correct placement on the page. (At least, as far as I know).

Mar 30	comment	TikZ: Blurring Effect Yeah, using opacity directly also changes the opacity of other elements (such as the lines). I tried any kind of combination with nodes, every node, etc. They all appear to occur either after `column 12/.style` does, or there is some kind of aggregating issue at play. I'll experiment some with transparency groups.
Mar 30	comment	TikZ: Blurring Effect @percusse: I tried that, but it doesn't seem to work. I tried all kinds of combinations, but setting all nodes to some opacity and then then override the last one doesn't work. That is, we don't want to change one column, we want to change all except one.

Mar 30	comment	How I could insert an accented word in a new command? @StephanLehmke: Of course, you are right. So the problem most likely is that the smallcaps font is missing that accented character.
