I am a førsteamenuensis (UK: lecturer, US: assistant/associate professor) in the Department of Mathematics at the Norwegian University for Science and Technology. I work in both differential and algebraic topology, both of which require that I use some category theory from time to time. I am also extremely interested in how best to use technology to help us do mathematics, particularly in the purer ends of mathematics where the obvious computational uses are not so useful.

@SamB Not being an experienced user of Wikipedia, I can only go on what I see. I have seen some pages recently with some form of non-image mathematics, but the majority are still rendering as images and when I wrote that comment then certainly I had never seen a page with mathematics do anything otherwise.

comment What comand should I use to fork used in math
In LaTeX, this is done using the cases environment from amsmath. I have no idea whether or not this would work with MathJaX since although MathJaX's syntax is based on LaTeX, MathJaX does not use TeX itself. In fact, pure MathJaX questions are off-topic on this site. You could ask "I want to do this in MathJaX, I know that MJ is based on LaTeX. How do I do this in LaTeX so I know what to try in MJ?". That might keep it on-topic.

I've just uploaded this version to CTAN. Should propagate through in a day or so.

comment Is it reasonable to expect an expl3-compatible release of TikZ/PGF in the future? / Workarounds for using TikZ under expl3 syntax
The hobby package uses both PGF and LaTeX3 without difficulty, so I'm not sure what the potential problems are. As egreg says, they belong on different levels.

comment Relative overlay specification in beamer?
@JosephWright At the risk of repeating myself: Brilliant! I've fallen foul of beamer's counting mechanism more times than I care to count so a detailed explanation would be fantastic.

comment Relative overlay specification in beamer?
Brilliant! I ran the original code and got some weird results that I didn't understand. The fact that all + are replaced explains what happened.
