comment How to save and restore the nodes between tikzpictures?
I've added a non-L3 version that works just for one node (but as your use case appears to be to save the same nodes each time, you could easily wrap it in a macro that saves all the specific ones you want).

Right, so the problem was that if \tkzCircumCenter was the first thing you do, then those nodes wouldn't exist. The \AtBeginDocument stuff ensured that they always existed, but a better solution is to test if the nodes exist before trying to save them. I've added that test into the above code and it now seems to work with your example.

You shouldn't need the AtBeginDocument stuff, but I'd need to see your code more precisely.

comment Why “tehnically” transforms to “thenically” automatically in WinEdt
This is almost certainly a feature of your text editor and not TeX/LaTeX itself. What editor are you using? Does it have an autocorrect mode (which would appear to be misconfigured)?

Could you re-upload your example with the modified files from tkz? I tried editing my local copy according to your instructions but I'm not sure I'm putting the code in the right places.

I'd need the exact code to test it.

@AlainMatthes I've added some comments to the code. Some understanding of basic L3 syntax might be useful: tl refers to token lists, clist to comma separated lists, prop to property lists, and cs to commands.

Okay, second thought then. What, exactly, do you want to save? Is it just the coordinate or do you want the ability to use more general nodes (so then you need to save the node type and other information)?

Would using tikz's node name prefixing system work? Add a prefix for each tikzpicture and then when you need to reuse the nodes, simply reuse the prefix.

comment Using newer version of tikz-cd for arXiv submissions
This is what externalisation is designed for. However, there are issues using externalisation with tikz-cd. See tex.stackexchange.com/q/171931/86 for details and a (hacky) solution.

comment Interchange variables in LaTeX (to be used with TikZ)
Prefix the \lets with \global. The \foreach stuff takes place inside a group so the assignments are local and reset each time through the loop.

comment Passing special characters to “shorthand” x+y options in TikZ
Sounds a reasonable plan. By the way, I think that the protection of ] is more to do with the fact that keys are often set in the optional argument to a tikzpicture environment or drawing command and so any ] needs protecting otherwise it is taken as the ending square bracket.

Of course, you can always overwrite the definition of minimum size in your own preamble.
