How to get longtable and bidi to work together? I was afraid that would be the answer. At least \usepackage{array} \newcolumntype{R}{>{\beginR}r<{\endR}} seems to work. Is there any difference here between the \beginR primitive and \RL{}? Is there no way to get xetex to start the columns on the right side, aside from entering them in reverse order? |

how to typeset RTL document with two columns flush AND two-column footnotes I am assuming you are referring to the ability to use paragraph footnotes along with a multicols environment. It looks great! How can I prevent the footnote paragraph from overlapping the page number (footer)? |

how to typeset RTL document with two columns flush AND two-column footnotes @lockstep thanks. Do you think paragraph footnotes would be more feasible? The bidi package supports that, but it comes out left-to-right when I use multicol, despite my invocation of \RTLcolumnfootnotes. |
