comment Heaped up tikz figure-how to fix
@NguyễnDuyKhánh You can refine node placement using the positioning TikZ library: \node at (1,1) [above=2mm, draw] {above};. This will place the text "above" above the coordinate (1, 1) by two millimeters. About your first comment, I can't explain node placement better than the official TikZ & PGF documentation, please see section 17.5 Positioning Nodes (http://ctan.ijs.si/tex-archive/graphics/pgf/base/doc/pgfmanual.pdf).

@cfr I'll try the method you recommended in your previous comment, but at the moment I don't have time for it, perhaps at the end of the month.

comment Shrink monospaced font in custom (verbatim) environments
@egreg It did, thank you! However I had to decrease the number of iterations from 80 to 72 to fit 80 characters in one line, but I don't know why. Also could you please post this as an answer, so I can accept your answer and give you the credit. (I only had to replace \lstset{basicstyle=\fontsize{\eightytt}{1.2\eightytt}\ttfamily} with cdblk's and codeblock's definition and added font=\fontsize{\eightytt}{1.2\eightytt}\ttfamily to its definition.)

comment mdframed - eliminating newline and top/bottom space /margins
You can use the following options in your definition: innerleftmargin=0pt, innerrightmargin=0pt, skipabove=0pt, skipbelow=0pt, innertopmargin=0pt, innerbottommargin=0pt, nobreak=true. You should also look at mdframed's manual, it's well documented.

@Holene I'm working on a more mature version of my answer, however I've never written any classes. I don't know if I'll have time to maintain a class in the future. I'd rather choose to include the preamble in a separate tex file for now.
