comment Using glossaries in Texlipse
I upped the answer because it worked. However, this method makes incremental builds very slow (especially when there were no changes to the glossaries.

comment What are underfull hboxes and vboxes and how can I get rid of them?
In addition to what @DGrady said, you can use \bigskip or \medskip which are basically \vspace{predefined_val}

comment Cite a particular author when there are multiple authors - how to?
@moewe, thank you. Writing a new command would be one way to go and I was expecting I could find some help here with this regard. Well, I hope that I am not the only one with such a request whereby a solution could help many people too :)

Double braces did not work, but the quotes did. Thanks.

comment Cite a particular author when there are multiple authors - how to?
Well, Andrew, you have a very valid point indeed. However, for some reasons, the third guy is the one known for a particular theory that is very popular in my context. That said, I want to make it easier for my readers to establish the link to the particular context by stating Patterson et al. I am sure there must be a Latex trick for that. Any help would be much appreciated (let's put aside the conventions for now :))

Awesome, that worked nicely. How can I get the math font though, so that all the formulas have the same look?

comment How to set path to Latex distribution in a .tex file?
Well, actually, I get the error: "The included LaTeX file "size1\@ptsize.clo" was not found" on the copied moderncv. A search from the Terminal points to /usr/local/texlive/2012/texmf-dist/tex/latex/base/. If I copy the base folder into my working folder, problem is solved. However, I want my copied moderncv to link to my tex distribution.
