I need to define the probability of an event: P((X=5) \cap A) In this case, I would like that the outer parenthesis is slightly larger than the inner one. But I don't want to modify \delimitershortfall for the whole document.

Thanks ! What I retain is that I cannot use different values \delimitershortfall in the same equation. Also I found confusing that it is the last value of the parameter which is use.
