comment Bold brackets in equations
You can define a macro to handle the phantom automatically by defining it as: \pmb{\left[\vphantom{#1}\right.} #1 \pmb{\left.\vphantom{#1}\right]}

comment Bachelor's Degree with LaTeX. Instructions for a beginner
For official documents my opinion is you are much better asking a well reputed translation company to perform a certified translation, or simply ask the issuing university if they can produce one in English. For translation, one does not need to produce an exact like-for-like certificate with seals, but a certified letter from the translation company along with the original will be legal in most countries. Doing it yourself and attempt to produce a like-for-like certificate may not well be legal depending on the country involved.

comment Why is XeLaTeX Pushing British English Text into the Margins?
Op claimsif language is set to US English the problem vanishes, I wonder if UK English have fewer/worse hyphenation definitions.

Fontspec replaces the fontenc package. Either use one or the other, not both! Things can get funny if you do.

comment Biblatex - Shortauthor length problem
Instead of ShortAuthor, using ShortHand seems to work. However, it does result in repeated labels (ASOP instead of ASOPa ASOPb) for multiple citations

comment Separate authors when using IFAC template
Why can't you just write say \author[First]{Name1} \author{, Name2} \author{\& Name3}? I compiled and that seems to work for me. You can even add space before names using \quad or \hspace*{}

comment Add optional text that may be invoked by tex to avoid bad boxes
Is there a reason why you don't want to use display equations? One should only really use inline maths for small short/breakable mathematical expressions.

comment XeLaTeX not able to recognize Devanagari script
If you are using Windows, is Nakulaan open type format, not ttf? XeLaTeX needs the opentype version of the font installed (otf) instead of ttf.

comment How to place arrows horizontally and vertically beside matrix?
@GS9 You can also use \newcommand{\mymatrix}[1]{\ensuremath{\left\downarrow\vphantom{#1}\right.\overs‌et{\xrightarrow[\hphantom{#1}]{\text{variables}}}{\left(#1\right)}}} and change pmatrix to matrix. This slightly shortens the horizontal arrow because this leave the curly brace out of the automatic horizontal length measurement.

comment Is it possible to have several entries in a bibtex-date field?
I used eventdate and date separately with biblatex before for academic conferences, where date was for the date of the publication of the proceedigns and the evendate marked the actual conference date as a date range.

comment Automatically apply \textnormal to subscripts
I usually define my own command called \sub{} with \DeclareRobustCommand{\sub}[1]{\ensuremath{_{\textnormal{#1}}}} then everytime I just remember to use $A\sub{b}$ throughout my document.
