can one use \figure with the grid-system package?

Using the grid-system package http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/grid-system

Very little documentation on it. When I tried adding a \figure in a cell, I get Latex error.

\end{Cell}
\begin{Cell}{1}

\begin{figure}
    test

now, when I compile this using texstudio on windows (Miktex 2.9) I get the error:

when I compile on Linux, using texlive 2013, I get:

Floating environments such as figure and table must be allowed to roam freely in your document- when you try to cage them in a box such as minipage, vbox, parbox, and in your case, Cell, you will necessarily get an error.

To move forward with your current document, you can simply grab the contents of your figure environment and place them in the Cell; if you need captions, then you can use captionof from the caption package.
