After incorporating Heiko Oberdiek's code, I get LaTeX Error: File

D:\Desktop\TEST\my-svg-file` in this case), leads to completely different errors:

This kind of error happens when you say `\if...' and forget

file say?\pdfstrcmp
which you would never guess from the initial listing. How come pdfstcmp isn't defined (a pdftex/luatex primitive) back to the log what does the top of the log file saysvg
. The point is that this package does not support LuaTeX because of\pdfstrcmp
and\pdffilemoddate
. But both can be provided, see my answer.
