today I discovered a strange behaviour of the style numeric-comp. Since I'm working with larger cite lists it happend that a reference is twice in the list which results that only the first reference is cited.

This works:

This is how to damage it:

enter image description here Shouldn't be the output also [1-5] if I use that second cite command?

  • I am getting getting [1-5]: i.stack.imgur.com/xyzTz.png . May be some thing else is going on. – user11232 Apr 25 '14 at 5:42

@Freude When you say 'newest' I suspect you mean 'latest included in Ubuntu': that's a very different thing. If you add \listfiles to your input, what version is given for biblatex in the 'File list' (in the .log)? – Joseph Wright Apr 25 '14 at 6:13

The output is as expected here as well (biblatex 2.8a, Biber 1.8). – moewe Apr 25 '14 at 6:59

Yep. Your biblatex is very old, it's v1.7 from back in 2011; the current version is 2.8a. You need to update – moewe Apr 25 '14 at 8:30

This question appears to be off-topic because it is about an outdated version of the package (the issue could not be reproduced with the current version of biblatex)? – moewe Apr 25 '14 at 16:27
