I'm trying to write a letter using the scrlttr2 document class. My footer is 3 lines and as such is touching the bottom of the page. I've been trying to move the footer up by using the geometry package (varying footskip and margins) but I'm not having any luck. Any help would be appreciated: my code is below. I should mention that this is a template I found on the internet that I have been trying to edit.

Thanks

\documentclass{scrlttr2}

\usepackage{marvosym} % Allows the use of symbols

  • Do not use \\ to get a blank line. If you need a parskip instead a parindent set the KOMA-Srcipt option parskip. Then \setlength\parindent{0pt} should also be deleted. Use \setkomavar{firsthead}{...} instead \firsthead{} and \setkomavar{firstfoot}{...} instead \firstfoot{}. Replace Sincerely yours, \\ \\ \\ \usekomavar{signature} by \closing{Sincerely yours,}.

Add to your code:

\makeatletter
\@addtoplength{firstfootvpos}{-3mm}
\makeatother

Probably you have to adapt the mm length.
