I have the following code and I dont know how to align the two horizontal \Longleftrightarrows vertically higher than they are now. Ideally they need to be only vertically moved a bit up so that one of them is vertically between c_2 and c_1 and the other needs to be between c_3 and c_4.

A diagram with tikz-cd seems a good choice; the only trick is setting the upper and lower items in a zero width box.

  • in this setting can one write $m_u=1/m_l$ and $t_u=-t_l$ in a vertical common paranthesis $\{\}$? similarly for $\lambda_0=\lambda_1$ and $\mu_0=\mu_1$. Dec 7, 2014 at 14:58

  • Now I want to upload a paper to arxiv and this system also has an older version of tikz-cd. Is it possible to have some standalone files which I can inlude to my latex file such that without \usepackage{tikz-cd} I can accomplish it? Jan 18, 2015 at 19:01
