I am trying to add else if instead of else in the algorithm, but it is not working.

I am using this package:

\usepackage[ruled]{algorithm2e}

Latex code:

\begin{algorithm}[H]
 \While{true:}{
  \eIf{response}{
   instructions1\;
   instructions2\;
   }{
   instructions3\;
  }
 }
 \caption{Scaling}
\end{algorithm}
  • not working is not really helpful. What is not working? And biblatex and ifthenelse are completely irrelevant tags here – user31729 May 6 '16 at 17:16
  • There's no nested if, so what would be the reason for having “else if”? – egreg May 6 '16 at 17:23
  • I want to have if, elseif (or elif) and then else. – user3580316 May 6 '16 at 17:28
  • \ElseIf{response}{ (instead of eIf) outputs else if. But I agree with @egreg, in terms of (pseudo)code this seems to be incorrect. – Marijn May 6 '16 at 17:29
  • Dont you have elseif in pseudo code? – user3580316 May 6 '16 at 17:35
