I really like the chapterstyle
given here. The classfile
I'm using is this. The integration of this particular classfile
with the chapterstyle
is making it a bit ugly :-)
There are some things that I would like to do to make it a bit pretty, IMHO.
- The chapter number for the first page each chapter should come to the right corner instead of the left corner.
UPDATE: the first point i could solve by changing filright
to filleft
.
- For subsequent pages of the chapter, I want the header to show the following
Chapter #. Chapter Name
something like this "Chapter 1. Test Unnumbered Chapter" with the page number still displayed at the top right corner as before but without the line underneath. Currently, it is as given below.
To reproduce the results, clone the git repository, and the following piece of code to the Preamble/preamble.tex
and then make
\usepackage{titlesec}
\titleformat{\chapter}[display]
{\bfseries\Large}
{\filright\MakeUppercase{\chaptertitlename} \Huge\thechapter}
{1ex}
{\titlerule\vspace{1ex}\filleft}
[\vspace{1ex}\titlerule]
An example of what I am looking at can be found here. See pages 18, 19.
\documentclass
and ending with\end{document}
that uses the classPhDThesisPSnPDF
, inputspreamble.tex
, defines the chapter headings as given above, with a few lines of main document containing a chapter. And of course the document should illustrate what's going wrong. – gernot Jan 30 '17 at 17:18
