I used the floatrow package to place two figures side by side to one another. My issue is that I want the caption of each figure above and not below it.

My code is,

\begin{figure}[Hg]
\begin{floatrow}
    \ffigbox{\includegraphics[scale = 0.35]{C:/Users/ageis/Documents/figure1.png}}
{\caption{\footnotesize{High School Dropouts and Mexican Population Share}}\label{case1}}
 \ffigbox{\includegraphics[scale = 0.35]{C:/Users/ageis/Documents/figure2.png}
{\caption{\footnotesize{Single Mother Households and Black Population Share}}\label{case2}}
 \end{floatrow}
    \end{figure}

This generates my two figures nicely beside one another, but their captions are beneath them. What code should I run to have the captions above them?

  • Welcome to TeX.SE! Can you please make your code snippet compilable? – Kurt Oct 10 '17 at 1:10
  • Yes, I changed the format of it. My apologies. – Antonio Pérez Eisenbarth Oct 10 '17 at 1:22
  • help us to help you! extend your code snippet to complete small document beginning wit \documentclass{...} and ending with \end{document} – Zarko Oct 10 '17 at 1:25
  • See § 3.1.3 Position of Caption in the documentation (p.35). – Bernard Oct 10 '17 at 1:29
