I am preparing to send an article to an IET journal, I have some problems with the two column table, following image presents the table that I want it. enter image description here

The first issue, my code produces the following table:

with an issue in the font shape the following image presents the shape of IET tables: enter image description here

the second issue is when I put the two-column table in the middle of a page with text I get this:

  • (i) for two column wide table you should use table* environment. (ii) this table without use of special packages appear on the top of the next page, from where is inserted in text. (iii) to be table* on the bottom of the same page where it is inserted, you should add package stfloats in your document preamble. – Zarko Jan 3 '18 at 19:53
  • off-topic: dont use together midrule and vertical rules. if you do so, table looks ugly. how to obtain better looking table see for example tex.stackexchange.com/questions/408441/improve-table-layout/… – Zarko Jan 3 '18 at 19:56
