I have installed Miktex following the instructions in the tutorial and it installed perfectly well. But now when I want to compile with Texmaker, it doesn't do anything. There's no error or anything and it charges as if it were compiling but then nothing is updated in the PDF. I don't know what to do, I've looked everywhere, even with another computer with a working version and every parameter is the same as mine.

Could you help me? Thanks so much

Welcome to TeX SX! Can you compile from the command line? Also, did you install TeXmaker after MiKTeX? – Bernard Mar 3 '18 at 22:05
  • Sorry I'm new at this but I created a shortcut for compiling and it doesn't work and when I click on the small arrow on top of the page, it doesn't work either.. I don't know if that's what you mean by "command line".. No, I installed Texmaker before – kalegrand Mar 3 '18 at 22:30
  • Try unstalling and reinstalling TeXmaker. The ‘command line’ is windows console (cmd.exe). – Bernard Mar 3 '18 at 22:31
  • I've done it, it still doesn't work. What is the command line on Mac? – kalegrand Mar 3 '18 at 23:02
  • On Mac, the command line is the Terminal application. – Bernard Mar 3 '18 at 23:07
